Consent for publication of photographs

We, the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst e.V., Kennedyallee 50, 53175 Bonn, hereinafter referred to as “DAAD”, are planning for external representation to take photographs and then to publish them on our website whereby you may be visible as a participant in an event. The names of the depicted visitors will not be mentioned and there will be no intentional highlighting of individual visitors.

The publication of your photograph will be based on your consent (GDPR Article 6 (1) point a).
The requested consent for the specific purpose mentioned is voluntary, and you may therefore revoke it in relation to the DAAD at any time, freely and without stating reasons, with future effect. The legality of the photographs in which you are recognisable published up to that point will remain unaffected. If you revoke consent, the photographs in which you are recognisable and which essentially only show you will be removed from the DAAD's presentation without delay. Insofar as you are shown in the photograph together with other people, the photograph will generally not be removed; instead you will immediately be rendered unrecognisable in the photograph (e.g. by pixelation). If you are depicted in the photograph together with other people but the DAAD does not want to use the pixelating option and prefers instead to replace it with a new photograph (for example because the photograph is of particular importance, for example, for the website), the period for replacing the photograph will be one month.

Data is not transmitted to bodies that have their head offices or data-processing locations outside EU member states or outside signatory states of the EEA agreement.
You may at any time assert your rights to information, data portability, erasure, objection and restriction of processing. For this purpose, please contact the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst e.V. (German Academic Exchange Service), Kennedyallee 50, 53175 Bonn. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority at any time if you believe that the processing of your data violates applicable law.

I hereby consent that the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst e.V. may publish photographs on the website and other SNS such as Twitter or Facebook in which I am visible to promote the Association and its events in the public arena. Insofar as my photo gives indications of my ethnic origin, religion or health (such as skin colour, headwear, glasses), my consent also applies to this information.
