Junior Experts Exchange Program 2019 for Japanese Young Scientists

Since a couple of years, young scientists from Japan and Germany are invited for a 8 days-visiting program to the other country. The program provides an opportunity for natural scientists to get first-hand information of the research structure, scientific and technological developments by visits to research institutions and companies, contacts to other scientists in related fields of research etc. On the long run, a bilateral network of young researchers is going to be established which offers points of contacts for further Japanese-German cooperation in various fields.
The program is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Japan) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Germany).
In 2018/9, the Junior Experts Exchange Program will focus on “Automated Driving”. For more information on this program you can download the files from this website:

Invited are up to 8 Japanese young researchers (under 40) from research institutes and companies. The program in Germany will take place from June 1 to June 9, 2019, a workshop with German alumni of the program is planned for June 8.

Deadline for application is March 31, 2019. Applications should be sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Japan.
